Police have needed to shut a piece of the M6 this afternoon after cows spilled out from a lorry and onto the highway.
Traffic officers from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) have shuttered each northbound and southbound carriageways between Junctions 7 and 10 following the incident, with the animals reportedly "injured".
