The authorities has "no strategy" to sort out the risk from China and has left the UK "severely handicapped" as a consequence of its "short-termist approach", a brand new report has claimed.

The Intelligence and Security Committee has printed its work on the risk the nation poses, saying China has managed to "successfully penetrate every sector of the UK's economy".

But it pointed a variety of fingers at Whitehall, saying assets invested into tackling the risk have been "completely inadequate" and the "slow speed leaves a lot to be desired".
