Christina Applegate has bravely spoken about her tough battle with multiple sclerosis, describing it as 'residing in hell'.

The 52-year-old Emmy winner opened up on Good Morning America to Robin Roberts, saying: "I'm not out a lot, so this is a little difficult, just for my system. But of course, the support is wonderful and I'm really grateful."

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who starred in The Sopranos, joined Christina on the present. Jamie-Lynn, 42, has been coping with MS since she was 20.

Roberts introduced up the touching moment at the 2024 Emmy Awards when Applegate walked on stage with a cane and obtained an enormous standing ovation. Christina could not bear in mind a lot about it, admitting: "I kind of actually blacked out and people said, 'Oh you were so funny' and I was like, 'I don't even know what I said.'".

Applegate additionally shared: "I don't know what I was doing. I got so freaked out that I didn't even know what was happening anymore. I felt really beloved, and it was a beautiful thing."

Since being recognized with MS in 2021, Christina has confronted many challenges. MS makes all the things tougher as a result of it impacts the mind and nerves.

Christina has been open about her every day struggles, usually saying "it's never a good day."

Christina Applegate revealed in May 2023 to Vanity Fair that she is going to not be showing on TV on account of her well being points.

She mentioned: "I'm probably not going to work on-camera again, but I'm so glad that I went out with someone [Linda Cardellini] who is by far the greatest actress I've ever worked with in my entire life, if not the greatest human I've ever known."

Christina additionally added: "I can do voiceover stuff because I have to support my family and keep my brain working."
