Dog homeowners are being warned to maintain their beloved pets on the lead after a collection of high-priced rescues, through which canine obtained caught on cliffs and out to sea on sandbanks.

One canine, a French Bulldog referred to as Bubbles was rescued after she was minimize off by the tide and stranded on a sandbank out at sea.

Bubbles was ultimately rescued by a pair of paddleboarders who rescued him because the tide was rising quickly on the seashore in Cleethorpes.

Coastguards have issued stern warnings to homeowners to maintain their dogs on the lead.

They mentioned they'd issued “stern safety advice regarding keeping dogs on leads around cliffs”.

They added: “We would urge the public to heed these warnings.”

Speaking to the MailOnline vet Petter Wedderburn mentioned: “'I think the main thing is to remember dogs don't have the same sense of personal safety as humans do.

“They don't know it's not safe to run near the edge of cliffs and they don't know it's not safe to swim into the sea when there could be a riptide.”

Mr Wedderburn added: “So what people should remember is when you are out with your dog it's like being out with a toddler and you should treat them in the same way.”

A coastguard spokesperson mentioned: “Bubbles was cold and very scared. She was taken home by a local resident until the owner could be identified.

"Bubbles was eventually reunited with her owner safe and well. We love a great outcome.

"Massive thank you to the two locals who assisted with the rescue.”

Bubbles wasn't the one hound to get caught by the ocean. Another hound, generally known as Peppa, was caught on the facet of a cliff in Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula, Wales, for 12 days.

The authorities had been alerted after a fisherman and two coastal path walkers noticed her. Peppa had been reported lacking for 12 days earlier than the tough rescue.
