ighteen individuals had been left injured after two buses collided in New York City on Thursday night in what was described as a “major” incident.
A TopView tour bus collided with a commuter bus in Manhattan at round 7pm native time, shattering the entrance home windows of the tour bus.
None of these injured suffered life-threatening accidents.
Most of the injured suffered cuts and bruises, mentioned fireplace division officers, though some had been handled for suspected fractured bones and neck accidents.
Another 63 individuals had been evacuated from the scene of the collision at First Avenue and twenty third Street. Both of the buses had been crowded on the time of the collision, officers mentioned.
Speaking to reporters on the scene, emergency service personnel mentioned they might not speculate about what led as much as the crash.
“We’ve had a few minor challenges in the double-decker bus - going through the windows, taking people out," said Paul Hopper, deputy chief of the EMS Division 1 of the city’s fire department.
“I heard the lady next to me scream, so I looked up and I saw this bus barreling towards us,” Ishrak Jahan, a passenger on one bus, advised CBS News New York.
“I just saw glass everywhere for a second. It was honestly like I was in a movie ... I saw blood. I immediately called 911.”
