Dead sharks have washed ashore on Prestatyn seashore in Denbighshire in north-east of Wales. Approximately 25 to 30 sharks, recognized as starry smooth-hounds attributable to their distinct speckled white spots, had been discovered scattered throughout the sand by passers-by on Tuesday morning.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue group has been knowledgeable of the incident, and a marine professional was current on the web site to gather samples. Gem Simmons, the North Wales Coordinator at British Divers Marine Life Rescue, posted a message on Facebook, advising individuals to chorus from touching or relocating the sharks on the seashore.

Smooth-hound sharks are generally discovered within the waters surrounding the UK and primarily feed on crustaceans and shellfish. They inhabit coastal areas at depths starting from 5 to 200 meters, sometimes residing on gravel or sandy bottoms.

These sharks measure between 100cm and 150cm in size and may weigh as much as 4.8kg.
