Dramatic footage has proven what seems to be a full-blown riot raging within the Hague, with teams of youths pelting police vans with bricks, with one other clip displaying a automobile on fireplace.
Netherlands-based journalist Owen O'Brien shared the footage, commenting: "Rioters break into an entrance at the #Opera.
"Windows are damaged and makes an attempt are made to enter.
"The fire brigade has also left again and cannot extinguish the fire."
One youth seems to be holding a fabric to his face, presumably to minimise the affect of tear fuel.
A separate clip confirmed what gave the impression to be riot police with batons and shields standing by a constructing with smashed home windows, and several other burning automobiles.
And a 3rd clip reveals a police automobile engulfed by flames.
Jan van Zanen, mayor of The Hague, authorised police to make use of tear fuel, a spokesman instructed the Netherlands Times.
