Sir Elton John has apparently stopped carrying clothes from Gucci, a model he used to like. He did this after his pal Alessandro Michele left the corporate.

Elton typically wore Gucci garments and even requested Alessandro to design the costumes for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

But since Alessandro left Gucci in 2022 and Elton's tour led to July, the singer has stopped carrying the model.

At their annual Oscars party, Elton and his husband David Furnish did not put on Gucci. Instead, they wore suits from rival brand Versace.

The label of the model was clearly seen on each of their jacket sleeves. Donatella Versace, who's the chief inventive officer of Versace, was additionally a visitor of honour on the social gathering.

On the crimson carpet, David stated: "We're wearing Versace as Donatella makes beautiful clothes that make you feel good."

Elton was very unhappy when Alessandro left Gucci. There have been rumours that there was a disagreement about the way forward for the corporate which prompted an issue between Alessandro and Marco Bizzarri, who was the CEO of Gucci on the time and made Alessandro the inventive director in 2015.

Elton stated about Alessandro leaving: "He is my dear friend and inspiration. Whatever he does next, I will be there for him because I love and adore him."

One insider claimed: "Elton and David were very close to Alessandro and were shocked when he left.

"It's no shock their relationship with Gucci is not what it was."

But an individual with shut hyperlinks to Elton dismissed claims of a rift between him and Gucci.
