Erik ten Hag slammed his Manchester United gamers after they have been held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Burnley at Old Trafford. The Red Devils boss felt his aspect lacked management and ‘gave away’ two factors in an ‘unnecessary’ method.

"We put ourselves in a winning position by playing some good football - creating loads of chances and then to give it away in the end in the final minutes it's so unnecessary."

While Ten Hag was sad with the efficiency of his gamers, he was livid with two separate penalty selections that went towards the hosts. Andre Onana was penalised for a foul within the penalty space, with Amdouni scoring, earlier than Alejandro Garnancho made an enchantment for a spot-kick in added time.

He continued: “Bad luck and we aren't fortunate with the refereeing in current weeks. We've conceded so many penalties, this one is justified however different ones. If you make [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka within the [FA Cup semi-] ultimate a penalty then what is that this? Where is the consistency?
