Finn Allen's return to Auckland after three seasons with Wellington, and Kyle Jamieson's transfer again to Canterbury after 4 seasons at Auckland, are a few of the main speaking factors as New Zealand's six main associations launched their first record of contracted gamers for the 2023-24 season.

There had been first-time contracts for seam bowler Harjot Johal (Auckland), Will Clark (Central Districts), Muhammad Abbas (Wellington), Gareth Severin (Wellington), Nick Greenwood (Wellington), James Hartshorn (Wellington) and Thorn Parkes (Otago).

The main associations can identify as much as 15 gamers within the first spherical of contract bulletins, adopted by a two-week switch window throughout which uncontracted gamers can assess their choices with one other affiliation. Following this, every affiliation will identify yet another participant to finish their 16-man contract record.
