ulham defender Issa Diop was right now launched with out cost after spending a day in police custody accused of ‘making threats’ in the direction of his ex-partner.
The 26-year-old Frenchman was arrested on the Pullman Hotel, in his house metropolis of Toulouse, on Sunday following complaints by the unnamed girl, the native Depeche newspaper reported on Monday.
But on Monday afternoon a spokesman for Toulouse prosecutors stated: “The suspect has been released. There is no case to answer.”
The girl filed a grievance final week, however investigators needed to wait till the weekend to arrest Diop, when he arrived from the UK.
Fulham had earlier launched the next assertion: “We are aware of reports emanating from France this morning regarding one of our players Issa Diop. We are currently liaising with the player’s representatives to establish the facts.”
Diop was born in France to a Senegalese father and a Moroccan mom.
He began his soccer profession at Toulouse, earlier than signing for West Ham, after which transferring to Fulham final August. He performed 25 instances within the Premier League for Fulham final season.
