Elon Musk has continued his public opposition to gender-transition measures being carried out on minors, stating in a tweet that “’gender-affirming care for minors’ is pure evil”. The remark was made by the enterprise magnate in response to a tweet from Jordan Peterson, who said that the “phrase ‘gender-affirming’ care is a criminally evil lie".

Surgeries, cross-sex hormones, and puberty blockers are some of the measures the term refers to.

In a tweet last week Musk suggested he plans on campaigning to “criminalize” everlasting gender-transition measures being carried out on youngsters earlier than the age of consent.

The former Twitter CEO said: "This is a serious downside. I might be actively lobbying to criminalize making extreme, irreversible modifications to youngsters under the age of consent. Shame on those that advocate this! It is completely contemptible.”

Musk mentioned in a tweet in April that he believes “we should wait until an individual is mature enough to make their own decisions before other adults make permanent, serious physical changes to them."

On Sunday, in response to a Twitter account called The Rabbit Hole that had tweeted: “'Gender Affirming Care' is in the best of cases a euphemism for a paid yes-man to continually affirm delusions and in the worst of cases a euphemism for putting children on horrible drugs or outright child mutilation”, Musk wrote: “It means castration”.

Musk mentioned that he would use folks’s most popular pronouns as it's “good manners”, The Blaze reports.

He tweeted: "I ought to notice that I do personally use somebody's most popular pronouns, simply as I exploit somebody's most popular identify, merely from the standpoint of excellent manners”.
