India opener Shubman Gill has reached a career-high fifth place within the ICC males's participant rankings, following his exploits within the recently-concluded ODI collection towards West Indies. Gill, who scored 126 runs from three matches together with a match-winning 85 within the series decider, rose to 743 ranking factors and is now inside touching distance of the fourth-placed Imam-ul-Haq (745) and third-placed Fakhar Zaman (755). Pakistan's Babar Azam, with 886 ranking factors, remains to be effectively forward at No.1 on the ODI record.
