The ongoing struggle in Ukraine places Britain at its best threat of nuclear struggle with Russia in many years, UK defence chiefs have warned.
The Ministry of Defence's (MoD) grim evaluation is available in an analysis of the UK's defence wants that has been introduced ahead due to the elevated dangers we face. And it notes that "local weather change, financial challenges, the tempo of technological change and competitors for meals and uncooked supplies" mean the world will "face more and more complicated and numerous safety challenges".
The 97-page paper also sets out how the MoD will aim to meet these challenges, by "reworking" its workforce "to fulfill the ever-growing demand for technical abilities within the fashionable battlespace", and the Armed Forces themselves "via science, innovation and know-how".
It also outlines how the MoD aims to "rework our relationship with trade – forging a brand new alliance – to create an setting that generates a shared sense of nationwide endeavour." And it states that the UK's Armed Forces will need "seamless interoperability" with our "Euro-Atlantic Allies and Partners" - with the US and France being name-checked as our two closest companions.
