Earlier this week, the fifth and last Indiana Jones film had its world premiere on the Cannes Film Festival.

Harrison Ford has been taking part in the archaeologist adventurer for many of his life and couldn’t maintain again his emotion throughout the five-minute standing ovation.

The 80-year-old Hollywood star was then on the verge of tears when shocked with an Honourary Palme d’Or award.

The actor mentioned: “They say when you're about to die you see your life flash before your eyes. And I just saw my life flash before my eyes. A great part of my life but not all of my life.

“My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, supporting my passion and my dreams and I'm grateful.”

Following the premiere, Ford took half in a press convention for Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny with director James Mangold and his co-stars. And as soon as once more, Ford’s voice broke as he held again tears.

He mentioned of the five-minute standing ovation: “It was indescribable. I felt…I can’t even tell you. I mean it’s just extraordinary to see a kind of relic of your life as it passes by.

“The warmth of this place, the sense of community, the welcome is unimaginable and it makes me feel good.”

Later on, he teared up once more commenting on his co-stars: “These people [make] it real. They bring the magic because the story supports their characters.

“The alliance between their character and story is observed from the very beginning. The character supports the story and the story supports the character. It’s a knit. It’s f***ing magic when it works. And if it doesn’t work it’s a nightmare!

“There is magic here and it comes from the collaboration, from the knit of everybody’s ambition and what they’re willing to put into it. I’ve never seen actors give as much to each other. Thank you.”
