A person has died after being stabbed to loss of life on a road in South London as police tape off a significant street.
Police confirmed a homicide investigation is underway following the intense incident that happened at 4.44pm on Tuesday, October 3.
A Met Police spokesperson informed MyLondon: "Police were called at 16:44hrs on Tuesday, 3 October to reports of a stabbing at Coldharbour Lane, Brixton.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended. At the scene a 22-year-old man was discovered with a knife harm.
"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene. Work is ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin. At this early stage there has been no arrest."
An eyewitness has stated there have been a number of emergency service automobiles on the scene and police tape has been put up throughout Crossharbour Lane in Brixton.
