Around 170 folks been moved out of their properties after their city in France was hit by an earthquake.

The quake, believed to have been between magnitude 5.2 and 5.8, left tons of of buildings declared uninhabitable within the western French city of La Laigne. Homes, faculties and church buildings had been broken because the eathquake was felt from Rennes within the north-west to Bordeaux within the south-west.

Earthquakes above magnitude 5 are uncommon in France, with the final affecting the nation in November 2019. Two folks had been injured within the city of Deux-Sevres following Friday's tremor.

The Charente-Maritime area simply north of Bordeaux was notably affected.
