Sir Keir Starmer mentioned in March that his predecessor wouldn't be the celebration’s candidate for the north London seat on the subsequent common election.
But on Wednesday night time, a movement thanking the previous Labour chief for his “commitment and service to the people” and saying it was members’ “democratic right to select our MP” was handed by 98% on the native celebration’s month-to-month common assembly.
Sixty members backed the movement, with one abstaining, in response to a spokesperson for the veteran left-winger.
No-one voted towards it.
The movement learn: “This CLP would like to thank our sitting MP J Corbyn for his commitment and service to the people, and want to express that it should be our democratic right to select our MP.”
Mr Corbyn sits within the Commons as an unbiased in Parliament following the celebration’s dealing with of antisemitism allegations underneath his stewardship.
In March, the National Executive Committee backed a proposal from Sir Keir to not endorse Mr Corbyn in contesting his Islington North seat for Labour on the subsequent election.
Mr Corbyn criticised the transfer on the time as a “shameful attack on party democracy”.
