Buckingham, 23, impressed for South Australia in the newest Sheffield Shield season, the place he took 25 wickets in his first seven first-class matches at a median of 26.56 for South Australia.
His returns resulted in choice for the Australia A tour of New Zealand in April and he took 6 for 58 in his first look, dismissing the New Zealand A prime six.

Buckingham educated with Northamptonshire's squad this week forward of their journey to Somerset and is on the market for the membership's subsequent three LV= Insurance County Championship fixtures.
