ottie Moss has spoken candidly about her relationship with older sister Kate Moss, revealing they've “never been close”.
The 25-year-old shares the identical father, Pete Moss, as her supermodel half-sister and was propelled into modelling after appearing as a bridesmaid for her wedding ceremony to her now ex-husband Jamie Hince in 2011, which was photographed by Vogue.
Moss stated she doesn't “see eye to eye on many things” along with her sister, who's aged 49, however understands that “family is complicated”.
She advised The Sun’s journal Fabulous: “Me and my sister have never been close. There is a big age gap.
“I didn’t grow up with my sister giving us money. We had a tiny two-bedroom house. My parents were bankrupt. I paid for my private school myself with the money I made modelling.”
She added: “My sister has obviously struggled with things herself. She’s allowed to have that. She doesn’t have to want to have a relationship with me.
“When I was younger, I couldn’t understand it. I thought ‘Why is someone in my family not wanting a relationship with me? I don’t get it.’
“But now I’ve learned, especially speaking to other friends who don’t speak to their mum or dad, that family is complicated.
“Just because she’s a really high-end model, it doesn’t mean that it’s any different in our family.
“We just don’t see eye to eye on many things. I love her. She’s my sister, but we’re just not close. It is what it is.”
Moss stated she grew to become nearer with Kate’s 20-year-old daughter Lila after they spent lockdown collectively, however defined that they don't see one another as a lot anymore resulting from Lila residing in New York.
She added: “We text sometimes and I see her out and about. I don’t give her advice. I think my sister can give her modelling advice.”
Moss has now give up modelling and is exploring different avenues together with showing on E4’s Celebs Go Dating.
