The mom of Spanish soccer chief Luis Rubiales has locked herself in a church and declared a starvation strike, based on stories in Spain. Rubiales has been suspended by FIFA for kissing soccer star Jenni Hermoso after the Women's World Cup closing.

FIFA have suspended Rubiales from football-related actions for 90 days after he refused to step down from his function as president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The motion features a ban on making an attempt to contact Hermoso, who claims that the post-match kiss was not consented.

Rubiales instructed a distinct story throughout a heated press convention final week, when he refused to resign and defended his actions. Now, the 46-year-old's mom, Angeles Bejar, has taken drastic motion.

Locking herself within the Divina Pastora church in Motril, Spain, Bejar has declared a starvation strike till an answer is discovered to the 'inhumane' remedy directed at her son.

She insisted to Spanish news company EFE that Rubiales 'is incapable of wounding anybody', calling on Hermoso to 'inform the reality' and 'keep the model she had in the beginning of the occasions'.

Bejar is believed to have stayed contained in the church, alongside along with her sister, on Monday morning. The lock-in and starvation strike is ready to proceed 'indefinitely, day and night time' till 'justice' is completed.

"There is little doubt that it's unacceptable and doesn't mirror in any respect the ideas and values that I defend in my life, in sport generally and in soccer particularly."
