Madonna is out of hospital and feeling higher after being struck down by a "serious bacterial infection," Sky News understands.

The 64-year-old star, who spent a number of days in intensive care, is now house and recovering.

The surprising sickness has forced her to postpone all forthcoming commitments, together with The Celebration world tour, which had been as a result of kick off subsequent month.

Her supervisor, Guy Oseary, stated in an announcement posted on social media on Wednesday: "On Saturday 24 June, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU.

"Her well being is enhancing, nevertheless, she continues to be underneath medical care. A full restoration is anticipated.

"At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.
