Appearing on the newest episode of The BRIT Awards with Mastercard’s podcast The Redcarpet Treatment, Muller advised host Jordan Stephens: “Okay, I had my celibate era. Like a year. So, obviously, I was like, I’m not getting much action at the moment ... and I was like, Do you know what I’m gonna do? I’m gonna lean into this.

“So I had my celibate era and through that, I was like, ‘Do you know what? I didn’t realise I was searching for that sort of validation.’ And I think a lot of my music was the opposite of that, I was kind of trying to make up for it.
