Aspiring automobile mechanic Dylan Bragger, 15, was killed in Skelmersdale, about six miles west of Wigan, on Thursday evening.
Felipe Figueiredo, 28, of Birleywood, Skelmersdale, has been charged with homicide, Lancashire Constabulary mentioned.
