A person is preventing for his life after being discovered with stab wounds in Sutton yesterday afternoon (May 23). Police went to Welbeck Road at round 2pm after receiving stories of a stabbing.

Social media stories have mentioned that an air ambulance was seen within the space on the time.

The 31-year-old’s situation has been categorized as life-threatening.  There have been no arrests made at this stage because the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police has mentioned: “Police were called at approximately 14:03hrs on Tuesday, 23 May to reports of a stabbing in Welbeck Road, Sutton.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 31-year-old man suffering stab wound injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.  

“His condition has been assessed as life threatening. At this early stage no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 3924/23MAY.  You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
