Manchester United have launched a press release saying a "decision has not yet been made" on the way forward for Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood has been suspended from the membership since January final 12 months following claims of home abuse which emerged on social media.

He was charged with tried rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour. Those expenses have been later dropped.

In a press release the membership stated: "The fact-finding phase of our investigation is now complete, and we are in the final stages of making a decision on Mason's future.

"Contrary to media hypothesis, that call has not but been made and is presently the topic of intensive inside deliberation. Responsibility finally rests with the Chief Executive Officer.

"Once made, the decision will be communicated and explained to the club's internal and external stakeholders.
