The boss of the mercenary Wagner group has stated Russia is being led in the direction of a revolution by incompetence on the battlefield in Ukraine due to the management of Vladimir Putin.

Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin's stinging riposte comes after earlier criticisms over the technique deployed within the invasion - which is getting into its sixteenth month.

He claimed the botched invasion has allowed Ukraine to develop "one of the world's strongest armies."

He additionally stated that if Russia doesn't change its techniques, Ukraine may retake Crimea, the area within the south which Russia illegally annexed in 2014.

Prigozhin predicted the grim reintroduction of the dying penalty in Russia to punish these stated to be "betraying Russia's mission" - leaving them hanging "on Red Square".
