Sources near Nadine Dorries have stated that there might be a grievance to an election watchdog over a letter despatched out by an area city council in her constituency demanding she quits now as an MP.
The former Culture Secretary and shut ally of Boris Johnson introduced on June 9 that she was standing down as an MP "with immediate effect".
But, not like Mr Johnson, Ms Dorries has not stepped down but by way of both of the standard strategies and stays an MP.
Today a letter from Flitwick Town Council in her constituency was revealed demanding that she makes good on her resolution final month.
It claimed that she was giving "no representation for Mid Bedfordshire".
Ms Dorries has declined to touch upon the letter and it's understood that she won't be formally responding to the council both.
However, sources near her have identified that former 3 times Mayor of Flitwick and the present chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council Gareth Mackey has declared his intention to stand as an independent for the Mid Bedfordshire seat and has been a member of the city council since 2011.
The sources instructed that the letter might be despatched to the Electoral Commission.
Even if she doesn't step down and pressure a by-election Ms Dorries won't stand on the subsequent basic election with Police and Crime Commissioner Festus Akinbusoye chosen for the Tories.
The important problem for the seat seems to come back from the Lib Dems with celebration chief Sir Ed Davey already campaigning there within the hop a by-election will quickly be known as hoping to overturn Ms Dorries' majority of 24,664.
The letter from the city council appeared to replicate anger at Ms Dorries even claiming she had not held a surgical procedure within the city for 3 years.
It stated: "The last time you spoke in the Commons was June 7 2022. You have not maintained a constituency office for a considerable time, and it is widely understood that you have not held a surgery in Flitwick since March 2020."
The council brazenly mocked Ms Dorries for having her nomination for the House of Lords by Boris Johnson rejected, attacked her TV present on Talk TV and her give attention to writing a ebook in regards to the fall of the previous Prime Minister.
The letter stated: "Rather than represent your constituents, the council is concerned that your focus appears to have been firmly on your TV show [for Talk TV], upcoming book [on the betrayal of Boris Johnson] and political manoeuvres to embarrass the government for not appointing you to the House of Lords."
It added: "Councillors noted that your behaviour widely reported in the press is not in line with the seven principles of public life set out by Lord Nolan in 1995."
The letter identified that with a inhabitants of 13,800 Flitwick is the most important city in her constituency and the council requested her "to immediately vacate" her seat.
