etflix has launched the primary take a look at the second collection of fashionable pure historical past documentary Our Planet narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
The four-part collection, from the Emmy Award-winning crew behind the present’s first collection and Planet Earth, will “unravel the mysteries of how and why animals migrate”.
The 50-minute episodes promise to “reveal some of the most dramatic and compelling stories in the natural world”, Netflix has stated.
The streaming platform stated the primary collection of Our Planet has greater than 570 million hours seen since its launch in April 2019.
The trailer, launched on Monday which shares snippets from the collection “captured with spectacular and innovative cinematography”, reveals that Our Planet II will return on June 14 solely on Netflix.
The collection is produced by Huw Cordey, with govt producers Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey for Silverback Films.
It is a part of new initiatives premiering over the following few years as a part of Netflix’s push into pure historical past documentary programmes.
The streamer is doubling down on the “Our” model – with Our Oceans, Our Living World and Our Water coming to the platform in 2024 and 2025.
Our Oceans will discover the world of wonders that lies beneath the waves, whereas Our Living World will reveal the connections that unite us all and sustains life in our universe.
Our Water World, as a consequence of premiere in 2025, will take a look at the freshwater methods that assist our planet thrive, led by the chief producer of Blue Planet II, James Honeyborne.
