Nigel Farage has issued a dismal warning that Britain is ready to finish up with Brexit in title solely.

The GB News presenter mentioned it could be a "disaster" for a Labour authorities to rejoin the EU.

But the previous Brexit Party chief warned Sir Keir Starmer's celebration would look to realign the UK with the bloc's guidelines.

Mr Farage added that Britain will "end up with a real Brexit in title solely".

Asked throughout an look on GB News if Labour would reverse Brexit, he mentioned: "Yes partly I feel is the reality of that.

"I feel for Labour to attempt to reverse the constitutional place that we now discover ourselves in would merely be insanity and could be a catastrophe for them.

"But realigning us with single market rules, realigning us with every new piece of legislation that comes from Brussels, well that I think they will do.

"And it has been made very straightforward for them as a result of the Conservative Party have performed completely nothing to eliminate these 1000's of rules, to get us to diverge and grow to be aggressive.

"So really re-signing up to the single market has been made incredibly easy for them.

"And what you are seeing here's a full failure of everything of our political class to hold out the results of the Brexit referendum.

"I do not assume we will rejoin, I feel that may be absolute insanity, however we'll end up with a real BRINO, Brexit in title solely.

"And in financial phrases, in aggressive phrases, we'll ask ourselves what on earth was all of it for."

Mr Farage's comments come after Labour frontbencher David Lammy doubled down on a pledge to prioritise the EU in a speech at an event organised by the anti-Brexit campaign group Best for Britain.

Speaking at the Trade Unlocked Conference in Birmingham, the shadow foreign secretary said: “Last week the Conservative Party press office attacked me for saying that improving our relationship with the EU will be a priority of the next Labour government.

"I've no qualms about repeating this. Reconnecting Britain should begin by reconnecting with our European neighbours.

“Because the EU are our largest buying and selling companions. And our allies as we face warfare on our continent.

“If you don't assume Britain’s relationship with Europe is of basic significance to our future, you might be dwelling in a fantasy."

Mr Lammy, a strident Remainer, insisted a Labour government would be "focussed on what's pragmatic".

He said: "Turning the web page on the period of acrimony that this authorities has overseen, which has seen belief undermined, cooperation stall and our economic system broken.

"We will seize our opportunity to improve our trade deal with the EU in 2025, when it comes up for review.

"We will undergo the commerce deal, web page by web page looking for methods to take away limitations and enhance alternatives for enterprise."
