ameron Norrie showcased his highly effective hitting as he reached the second spherical of Wimbledon by beating Tomas Machac.
It was a snug first set for the British No1 who reached the semi-finals at SW19 on Monday. Here he edged out the Czech qualifier to win 6-3 below the roof on Court 1 and get his marketing campaign up and working.
Machac, taking part in Wimbledon for the primary time, raised his stage within the second set, and the rewards had been tangible. He broke Norrie’s serve decisively for 4-3 — ultimately successful it 6-4 and levelling the encounter.
