Novak Djokovic stole the present by hitting out at British followers within the aftermath of Serbia's 2-0 victory over Great Britain on the Davis Cup. Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie each misplaced their singles matches to ship Britain crashing out of the event, with Serbia set to face Italy within the semi-finals on Saturday.
Draper was up first however was edged out by Miomir Kecmanovic, who clinched two tiebreaks to register a 7-6 7-6 overcome his British rival. It meant that any hopes of reaching the semi-finals rested on Norrie's shoulders however the 28-year-old was comfortably overwhelmed 6-4 6-4 by Djokovic to seal victory for event favourites Serbia.
Quite a few rowdy British followers had been heard banging drums and chanting whereas Djokovic was giving his post-match interview, prompting the Serb to hit again with a brutal put-down as he stated: "Learn how to respect players, how to behave yourselves, learn how to respect people, you shut up, you be quiet."
