Rafael Nadal has efficiently undergone his arthroscopic surgical procedure. The Spaniard announced that he was having the keyhole procedure on Friday evening - the eve of his birthday. The 22-time Major champion has now been given a timeframe of 5 months to get better from the operation and is already heading residence to rejoice turning 37.

Nadal has been sidelined since January when he injured his psoas muscle throughout his Australian Open second-round loss. The former world No 1 has since tried to get better unsuccessfully and was compelled to overlook the French Open because of the damage.

On Friday evening, the 22-time Major champion out of the blue introduced that he was present process an arthroscopy surgical procedure to examine the muscle in query. The process was carried out in Barcelona's Steadman Clinic by Dr. Philippon, Dr. Vilaro and Nadal's common doctor - Dr. Ruiz-Cotorro.

In a recent replace, the surgical procedure is claimed to have gone "well", per Jon Wertheim. The Spaniard has already been stitched up and is returning residence to Mallorca to rejoice his thirty seventh birthday, with an anticipated five-month restoration interval.
