he Russian Defense Ministry has reported that it intercepted a drone assault in a single day.
Russia’s air protection reportedly shot down the drone over the territory of Belgorod Oblast round 4am native time on Sunday,
There had been no casualties or injury, the ministry stated.
While Russia blames the Ukrainian army for the strikes, Ukraine has not claimed accountability for the assaults.
The assaults had been launched on the space which is in Russia however near the border with Ukraine.
The ministry stated in a press release: “The Kyiv regime’s unsuccessful attempt to attack facilities on the Russian territory with a plane-type unmanned aerial vehicle was thwarted at around 4am today.
“Russian missile defenses detected the drone and destroyed it above the territory of the Belgorod Region.”
Meanwhile Russian state media additionally claimed on Saturday that 20 Ukrainian drones had been shot down in a single day in occupied Crimea.
Fourteen drones had been destroyed by air protection, in line with the Russian Defense Ministry. Six others had been “suppressed by means of electronic warfare.”
Russia’s Belgorod Oblast borders Ukraine’s Luhansk, Sumy and Kharkiv areas. The area has seen periodic shelling and cross-border rocket assaults since spring 2022.
