Sara Sharif's uncle has spoken out whereas being held in police custody following the teen's dying.

Imran Sharif says his 10-year-old niece died "fell down the stairs and broke her neck", in accordance the police in Pakistan. Sky News claims Imran is at the moment held for questioning by Jhelum police.

He is nonetheless neither below arrest or has been charged in relation to her dying. Sharif is helping police find his brother Urfan, who he claims he hasn't seen.

Police added that Urfan's parents are distressed, and that his father's "coronary heart situation" is worsening from "stress".

Sara's exact cause of death currently remains uknown. However, Surrey Police said a post-mortem revealed she suffered "a number of and intensive accidents."

They believe they were "more likely to have been brought on over a sustained and prolonged time frame". Surrey County Council also said Sara was previously known to the authorities.

Police in Pakistan are searching for Urfan Sharif, who is said to have travelled with two adults and five children. It is believed he returned to his family home in Jhelum, Punjab - about 84 miles (134km) away from the capital.

Surrey Police continue to investigate Sara's death. A statement from the force said: "No piece of knowledge is insignificant, so when you can assist, please contact us.
