Cricket Scotland provides annual contracts to girls cricketers for first time

On May 10, Cricket Scotland introduced males's and girls's contracts for the 2023-24 season. It was the primary time that paid contracts had been provided to girls gamers.

This builds on the introduction in 2021 to pay equal match charges to males's and girls's gamers.

In all, fourteen males and 9 girls cricketers signed contracts, with various bands recognising the wants of gamers and the organisation. The contracts run from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
