pecial stamps are being issued to rejoice 65 years of marmalade-loving bear Paddington.
Six stamps in the primary set are taken from Ivor Wood’s strip cartoons of Paddington, which have been initially printed within the London Evening News paper within the late Nineteen Seventies because the character turned a star of the small display screen.
Working with the animation firm FilmFair, Wood designed and directed the primary Paddington tv collection for the BBC from 1976.

Michael Bond’s traditional kids’s character – a Peruvian bear who's adopted by the Brown household in London after arriving on the practice station he's named after – first appeared in October 1958, within the e-book A Bear Called Paddington.
The character has gone on to star in two smash-hit films in recent times, with Ben Whishaw voicing Paddington in each. This model of the bear additionally made a memorable look alongside the late Queen Elizabeth II in a comic book sketch marking her platinum jubilee in 2022.

The stamps can be found to pre-order from as we speak and go on common sale on September 5.
