A teenage boy was viciously attacked in a Manchester store automotive park earlier in the present day.

Emergency companies have been known as to Aldi in Ashton-under-Lyne simply after 2pm following reviews that there had been a stabbing.

An 18-year-old boy had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital with critical accidents that aren't believed to be life-threatening or altering.

The automotive park was cordoned off by police whereas forensics scoured for proof.

One shopper informed the M.E.N: "It makes me angry, I bring my two children here shopping all the time, and this happened in the middle of the day. It's madness.”

Another cordon was put in place in Limeside, with an air ambulance landing in a nearby park, as well as in two other streets in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Door-to-door enquiries were carried out through the afternoon as officers were seen inspecting a car within the cordon that is understood to have been involved in the incident.

One homeowner described the incident as 'shocking' but admitted they had stopped letting their kids play outside "due to violent crime within the space".

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the stabbing, with investigations ongoing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 2.10pm this afternoon, Greater Manchester Police obtained reviews {that a} male had been stabbed on Dean Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.

"An 18-year-old male has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are thankfully not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made at this time. Four scenes are in place and an investigation is underway."
