Three bricklayers have misplaced their jobs after dedicating Shakira's newest tune, 'El Jefe,' to their boss.

In the tune, the Colombian singer criticizes her ex-father-in-law and mentions Lili Melgar, the couple's nanny, who was fired by her ex-husband Gerard Piqué.

Lili was reportedly fired with out compensation after telling Shakira of her husband's alleged infidelities.

This tune, identified for its robust social critique, resonated with the employees, who discovered its message about wage inequality relatable.

Inspired by Shakira's lyrics, these employees turned to TikTok as a platform to catch their boss's consideration and request a increase.

They created a choreographed dance set to the tune's rhythm, with verses like: "I have a lousy boss who doesn't pay me well, I walk to work while he arrives in a Mercedes-Benz, he treats me like a recruit, that son of a *****."

Predictably, their video shortly went viral and reached their employer's ears.

However, the end result wasn't what they hoped for.

Instead of receiving the specified wage improve, they had been knowledgeable that that they had been fired.

In a follow-up video, their expressions revealed their shock and disappointment at their boss' determination.

They defined that they by no means anticipated their playful prank would result in such harsh penalties.
