hree cops have been injured in a knife assault in County Durham on Friday night.
Following a priority for welfare report, police attended an deal with on Corfe Crescent, Billingham, at round 10.15pm.
At the incident they encountered a person with a knife who turned aggressive in direction of them, leaving two Cleveland Police officers with puncture wounds and the third with slash wounds.
All three have been taken to hospital to obtain stitches for the accidents.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in reference to the incident and is in police custody.
He was additionally handled in hospital for minor accidents.
