Britain has rejoined the European Union's £85 billion Horizon science analysis programme beneath a brand new bespoke deal.

The improvement follows a name between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen yesterday.

Mr Sunak secured improved monetary phrases in what he described because the "right deal for British taxpayers".

The UK's affiliate membership of Horizon was agreed in precept as a part of the Brexit Trade and Co-operation Agreement.

But Britain was frozen out for 2 years throughout a bitter Brexit row over Northern Ireland.

Horizon is a collaboration involving Europe's main analysis institutes and know-how corporations.
