The 60-year-old gained his first main trophy of a storied managerial profession within the Czech capital of Prague after Jarrod Bowen scored a last-minute winner to beat Fiorentina.
Moyes hailed the second as the perfect of his profession and soaked within the moment on the pitch of the Eden Arena with his 87-year-old father.
Having hailed his squad as “remarkable” as the category of 2023 wrote themselves into the membership’s folklore, the Scotsman joined in with the jubilant celebrations.
After dancing on the pitch, Moyes was captured on video dancing to ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’ by the Scottish band with a beer in his hand as his squad loved the history-making second with their supervisor.
Reflecting on his journey to creating new historical past in east London, Moyes stated: “If somebody had said three years ago when I took the job that you’d avoid relegation and finish in Europe and I’ve said you were mad. This competition has been great for us, the players have been remarkable.”
