Nick Kyrgios has dropped out of Wimbledon attributable to a wrist harm.

The Australian, who misplaced in final 12 months's remaining to Novak Djokovic, made the announcement on his social media accounts this night, on the eve of the match.

He wrote: "I'm really sad to say that I have to withdraw from Wimbledon this year.

"During my comeback, I skilled some ache in my wrist throughout Mallorca.

"As a precaution I had it scanned and it got here again displaying a torn ligament in my wrist.

"I tried everything to be able to play and I am disappointed to say that I just didn't have enough time to manage it before Wimbledon," he added.

Kyrgios had been scheduled to start his marketing campaign towards Belgian former quarter-finalist David Goffin on Court One on Monday.

The 28-year-old has been unable to construct on his sole grand slam remaining look after withdrawing from the Australian Open in January attributable to a knee harm which required surgical procedure.
