Heartbreak as canine left virtually blind after horror acid assault
Heartless homeowners are believed to have abused a two-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which was taken to a vet after being noticed ingesting from a puddle with intensive injury to its head and eyes. The dog, renamed Raya after being rescued, was found in northern France virtually blind and with its head broken by acid.
The canine was discovered on May 7 by a neighborhood resident in Hérouval Road in Montjavoult, a city within the Oise area.
Annick Morin, who discovered the canine, advised native newspaper Courrier Picard: “I saw the animal drinking from a puddle, I listened to my instinct and I took her to a veterinary clinic when I saw her condition.”
Among the horrific accidents it had suffered, the animal appeared to have had its eyelids scalped off.
Elodie Sialelli, a resident within the city who briefly took within the canine, stated: “We think that the former owners tried to sew them up without succeeding.”
Initial findings by consultants who assisted the canine led to assume the acid burns could have been triggered “two to three weeks ago”, Ms Sialelli stated.
The native resident, who saved the canine at her house for some 48 hours earlier than handing it over to the Fondation Assistance aux Animaux, branded what the animal had suffered “absolutely revolting”.
She added: “The dog doesn’t get along with other dogs. We don’t know her past. But it is sweet with people.”
Describing the mindless abuse endured by the animal rights affiliation stated: “This dog has suffered the worst of what humans can do.”

Ms Sialelli stated the canine “will be fine” however remains to be present process therapy.
It is hoped vets can allow the canine to partially save the little sight it has left.
The animal rights organisation and Ms Sialelli have launched a search on social media in a bid to determine the homeowners.
But it’s unlikely Raya will return of their care, as it’s hoped a resident of Montjavoult will give the pet its new eternally house.
