Man arrested over British girl’s dying in Spain

A pensioner has been arrested over the dying of a British girl in Spain’s Costa Blanca.

The 76-year-old girl was discovered lifeless at a home in Orihuela Costa on Friday morning.

The Civil Guard stated it was alerted to a report of alleged gender violence, ensuing within the dying of the lady, at round 7.40am.

The power reported a blade might have been used within the alleged assault.

The Civil Guard stated: “The injuries presented may correspond to an assault with a knife.”

An 82-year-old Norwegian man has been arrested in reference to the dying and is presently in custody.

The Civil Guard added: “There is no record of previous gender violence between them.”
