Nato rescue drama after mum jumped from ferry after youngster fell 65ft into sea

A toddler who fell 65ft overboard from a passenger ferry – as nicely the kid’s mom who jumped into the water in a determined try to save lots of the seven-year-old – have been airlifted to hospital after being rescued from the Baltic Sea 

Mother and youngster have been individually transported by helicopter to a hospital in Karlskrona in southern Sweden, Swedish Maritime Administration spokesman Jonas Franzen stated.

The incident occurred on a passenger ferry heading from a port in northern Poland to Karlskrona.  

 

“A child fell into the water and the mother decided to jump in after,” Mr Franzen informed the Associated Press.   

 He stated the kid fell from a peak of about 65 toes. Ships and helicopters from Sweden and from Nato items that have been within the space assisted within the rescue operation.

Swedish news company TT reported the kid was seven years outdated. Polish TV station TVN reported each have been Polish residents.
