Uganda faculty assault: Families start burying family members after atrocity leaves 42 lifeless

Families in a Ugandan border city have begun burying their family members who died after a college was focused by suspected extremist rebels.

The assault within the city of Mpondwe-Lhubiriha left 38 students, a school guard and three civilians dead.

UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres condemned the assault in a press release, urging “the importance of collective efforts, including through enhanced regional partnerships, to tackle cross-border insecurity between (DR Congo) and Uganda and restore durable peace in the area”.
