Superintendent Gerry Corrigan, of Police Scotland’s Greater Glasgow division, stated there was “an unacceptable level of antisocial behaviour and incidents of disorder” all through the day.

“Three people were seriously assaulted in three separate incidents during the event,” he added.

“A 31-year-old man remains in a serious condition within Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after being attacked.

“Two different males, aged 33 and 19, had been handled at hospital after being assaulted and have since been discharged.
