Mother sees babysitter abusing son, two, on dwelling safety digital camera

A babysitter has been arrested after her abuse of a two-year-old boy was uncovered by a Ring safety digital camera in his household’s dwelling.

The kid’s mom, Kristla Holmes, had gone to work leaving the boy within the care of Chantal Mason, a trusted good friend she was paying to take care of him.  But she was horrified when she checked the Ring footage from her dwelling in Newburgh in upstate New York, and noticed Mason throwing the sobbing youngster on his again and slapping him.  CBS News New York reported Mason was yelling”Be quiet” and “Lay your ass down.”

The digital camera additionally caught Mason resting her foot on the boy’s head as she lay on the sofa.

Ms Holmes stated the abuse and breach of belief served as a warning for fogeys: “You can’t trust nobody. You cannot trust your kids’ godparents. You can’t trust a long friend.

“Watch your individual youngsters. Protect your individual youngsters.”

Holmes described Mason as a family friend of 15 years who had been in charge of watching her kids before, someone she would have never suspected of hurting her children.  But that changed when she saw the damning footage from the security camera

“She advised me that he simply wakened, she fed him, and he was laying on the sofa watching TV,” Ms Holmes said. “When I checked the digital camera, that is not what he was doing. He was hysterically crying.”

She stated she rushed dwelling to get her youngster to security and name police, who arrested Mason for endangering the welfare of a kid. Officials stated the slapping went on for longer than the quick clip aired by TV stations.

Mason was booked on the Orange County Jail, in Goshen, following the incident on Monday, and launched on Tuesday.  She couldn’t be reached for remark.
