The mum, who requested to stay nameless, reportedly stated: “For that instructor to inform her to go away and go to a different faculty if she didn’t like what she was being advised made my blood boil. What form of welcome is that for a 13-year-old lady.”

The mom stated that her daughter and her buddy had “put their views across and clashed with another girl in the class who identifies as a cat”.

She continued: “My daughter told the teacher that what they were learning was ridiculous and the girl identifying as a cat tried to argue that it wasn’t and that anyone could identify as anything.

“As she said that my daughter replied: ‘So, if I identify as a kangaroo then I can say I’m a kangaroo?!’.”

“Some of the others in the class started laughing and the girl who thinks she’s a cat started crying. My daughter and her friend were told to stay after the class and were given a warning to stop and toe the line.

“That’s when she began secretly recording the instructor. I’ve to say that when my daughter got here residence from faculty and advised me what occurred. I didn’t consider her, I assumed she was a typical teenage lady exaggerating.

“But then she played me the recording and I was shocked and then horrified and then furious. I still get angry listening to it.

“There are women in her class and on the faculty who’re trans and she or he has no downside with any of them, she calls them by their most well-liked pronouns and accepts them for who they’re – however there are solely two sexes. It’s simply science, you’re born male or feminine.”

“The incontrovertible fact that the varsity is shielding this younger lady who identifies as a cat and reprimanding anybody who challenges that notion appears to me to be utterly absurd.

“Why on earth are 13-year-old kids being taught about gender identity anyway? They’re just children. It’s not right.”

The mum advised MailOnline: “I’m so proud of my daughter, she will always stand up for what she believes is right and this is all that she did. She expressed a view that many, many of her classmates and their parents would share yet she was shouted down and bullied by someone in authority.”

During the lady’s ‘life education’ class on Friday afternoon, college students had been advised: “who you want to be and how you identify is up to you”.

One scholar questioned a classmate: “How can you identify as a cat when you’re a girl?”

The instructor was heard saying throughout the argument: “How dare you – you’ve just really upset someone” by “questioning their identity”.

The pupil responds: “If they want to identify as a cat or something then they are genuinely unwell – crazy.”

The instructor then questions the ladies: “Where did you get this idea from that there are only two genders”, including that this “is not an opinion.”

The instructor tells the category that “gender is not linked to the parts that you were born with, gender is about how you identify, which is what I said right from the very beginning of the lesson”, The Telegraph reports.

She continues that “there’s really three organic sexes since you will be born with female and male physique elements or hormones” and “there are many genders – there’s transgender, there’s a gender who’re individuals who don’t consider that they’ve a gender in any respect”.

The girls disagree with their teacher, saying that “you probably have a vagina you’re a woman and you probably have a penis you’re a boy – that’s it”.

As the row intensified, the teacher said: “What do you imply you possibly can’t have it? It’s not a legislation … Cisgender isn’t essentially the way in which to be – you’re speaking about the truth that cisgender is the norm, that you simply determine with the sexual organ you had been born with, that’s mainly what you’re saying, which is admittedly despicable.”

The instructor signifies the ladies are homophobic and haven’t any understanding of what they’re discussing.  The women reply that their moms would agree with them, which the instructor claims is “sad”.

The instructor then tells them that “if you don’t like it you need to go to a different school”, adding: “I’m reporting you to [senior staff], you need to have a proper educational conversation about equality, diversity and inclusion because I’m not having that expressed in my lesson.”

The teacher has received a wave of furious criticism from parents for abruptly ending the classroom debate.

Tracy Shaw, from the Safe Schools Alliance, said that children coming to school and insisting on being addressed as an animal should “immediately raise red flags”.

They think they are being kind by affirming these behaviours, but they are not being kind, because they are likely to be missing all sorts of things that are going on in that child’s life.”

The story has additionally reached nationwide headlines, with GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry donning cat ears and whiskers on air.

The 43-year-old stated: “Meow, I’ve learnt something new today, everybody.”

“It is perfectly acceptable to identify as a cat. You what?

“Don’t you dare mock it by the way because I’ve decided that is now what I am. Meowchelle, to you.

“But if you do indeed mock it be careful because I wouldn’t be surprised if it could be considered a hate crime. Self-identity, where do we draw the line?”

A spokesman for Rye College stated: “We are committed to offering our pupils an inclusive education. Teachers endeavour to ensure that pupils’ views are listened to, and encourage them to ask questions and engage in discussion. Teachers also aim to answer questions sensitively and honestly.
